Chase New Rules Effective March 1st Regarding 1st & 2 Liens

Effective March 1st if your seller has both 1st and 2nd with Chase then the fist lien holder will negotiate both loans...I have 1st & 2nd and was told by negotiator yesterday.

Yes. I had turned one in about a week and a half ago and was told they would do the negotiating on the 2nd and to only send the short sale package to the first.
Even though the 2nd has called my homeowner and insisted they be sent the short sale package as well. I did what the 1st stated to do.
I love your cocker spaniels...I have 2 cockers also...
Can anyone confirm if Chase is still sticking to this? (1st handling both 1st and 2nd) Subbing a Chase 1st/2nd SS right now.
Hi, David. I was told this a couple months ago by the negotiator on the 2nd. It was a bit amusing when I informed the negotiator on the 1st as he'd not heard about the change. As we neared closing on the loan he asked "So what have you negotiated on the 2nd?" and I reminded him that HE WAS supposed to be negotiating the 2nd! So three days before closing the final docs arrive and there is a deficiency letter which was NEVER discussed. Needless to say the sellers are flipping *%$# and the buyers will be soon to follow.
