If you have ever been lied to about having your file "escalated", here is how you can now "catch" whomever says:

"Oh sure, we will escalate this"

As per a conversation I just had with Yolanda in the corporate consumer solution division, great number to have, ANYTIME a short sale is escalated, a file number for the escalation case is generated.

As such, if you are told:

"We will escalate this for you"

Your response should be:

"Great, can you give me the file number for this escalation"

And, to be certain they are NOT jerking your chain on this to just get you off the phone, speak with them for another minute or two then have them REPEAT the file number they just gave......

Keep fighting guys!!!!

Bridgette - one day I will START PAYING ATTENTION, we have the fax number you are seeking (just got it and I think posted it on here under a different heading:

For finding out who investor (or MI company is)
Fax the signed written request to - 805-520-5019
Attn: Correspondence Department
with the loan number thereon

Giddyup....please let the board know if that works.

Bridgette -- that it TOTAL BS......try calling:

Customer Service - 800-432-1000
General Customer Service - 877-231-9372
Office of the CEO - 704-386-5687

and asking them:
"My client needs to know who the MI company is on his/her loan, can you tell me where to fax in the signed written request to obtain this informaon?"

They will give it to you.
Keep in mind most everyone OUTSIDE of loss mitigiation reads from a different "script", i.e., they are NOT told to NOT HELP YOU!!!!!

Get creative, make it happen.....as I tell agents, pretend this is your mom's house (assuming of course you still love mom), would you just give up, or, keep fighting!!!!!

:-)

If you do get the fax number, please post it here for everyone.

Thanks for the tip Ben! BOA has told me the file is in 2nd segmentation and the person I spoke with told me she was sending it to escalation, but that under Sharepoint, the file # is the loan number under escalation and under a different program there is a seperate # for escalation. Is this true or am I getting jerked around?

Correct on the above, most loss mit. departmetns have Phase I and Phase II negotiators, sounds like you are on your way.

Escalations - most banks DO have a file number for escalations, ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS be certain tog et this number, then, ask for it a second time right before you get off teh phone to make 1000% certain the person you are speaking to is being honest.

Nice Work Misha!!!!

Oh my gosh!!! I wish I'd known this a few months ago when over the period of 2 months my file was supposedly being escalated 5 times with nothing to happen after the "escalation"
