I have run into the negatives of their new system - pretty much what I expected. Since you have to do the title search and get all documents before even getting the authorization in, you lose a week or two if everyone gets you documents quickly before sitting while they waste 3 days on your authorization.  To them, the clock doesn't start until you have entered everything, so it looks better on their side - Hey, if you don't get the short sale started, is it their fault?  If agents can put up with this, maybe next year they will demand the certified closing papers along with the authorization paperwork, eh?

This is not a way to handle a "business". But BOA loses money w/each short sale so it is an anti-business to them - why not make their numbers look better while making it more painful for agents to try short sales?  (No that I have an opinion..)

No, I am working a short sale that was listed March 2 or 3rd, got an offer in just a few days. After all the changes on April 13, they sent me all new forms for everybody, buyers, sellers, agents, to fill out, INCLUDING a new Authorization Form. I think it would have been wiser to make the changes from April 13 going forward, but they made it all retroactive.

Most of the changes they are making is just for PR..nothing else.. each time you think they are making progress, they take 5 steps back ward and 1 step forward...

I would jump for joy with a 45 to 90 answer...there servicers...don't answer.  They have a black hole somewhere...I think they should hire some the great realtors in this country and have them as decision makers and communicators on these files...They would worth every dime they made and probably make tons of money for Bank of America
