Is it just me or is BofA taking longer to approve and really killing deals lately? Please share any insight.

I have over 10 files in with BofA right now, none are moving as smoothly as they were six months ago. They are setting sale dates more hastily, not postponing sales, and down right not communicating or following the guidelines of their own process. Is anyone else having these issues? 6 months ago, approvals were standard 45 day. Does anyone have any insight, perhaps I'm missing something? They seem to have thrown logic completely out the window and are not even following their own expectations?

In the last Quarter of 2010, most of the large servicers said they would not be postponing Trustee Sales, or allowing extensions of Short Sale Approvals in 2011.  BofA has added 20,000+ people to work on short sales and have taken 2,500+ people from Loan Mod and moved them to Short Sale.  I'm getting terrific communication from BofA (as compared to 3 years ago).
Seems two things are going on:  Communication is slower today vice three months ago and the expected closing date is sometimes two weeks out.

YES YES YES!!!! I took the webinar and they said to escalate to everyone on the list if you don't get a response from the negotiator. What a joke!!! I have emailed people 4 times and have not received a response.  Let me take that back, the response was, and I quote, "...yes. Do not reply to this message."  I asked in 3 different emails what that meant, and no response to date.  All of this has transpired over the last 3 weeks, the appraisal was completed 01/23/11, and no response since 2/1/11.

They are a a f*ing joke!

I agree, mine is the same and now most of mine have pending sale dates that they will not postpone. Are they just humoring us with this short sale stuff, is this just more smoke and mirrors to try to get seller's to back off? I'm royally confused. I email everyone as well, follow they're suggested system and nothing is working. BofA is a joke! Let me know if you have any luck escalating, I'm not!

I think it has to do with these pool servicing agreements they have entered into with other banks, as well as the MERS scandal.

b of A is taking a lot of heat right now because of it.
