I made an offer on a short sale last August (yes, 9 months ago).  Finally we're in the last leg of this.  We had a counter in April, we countered, BOA wouldn't budge so we accepted their counter knowing it was too high.  We are scheduled to close by 6/1.  I am completely through underwriting, everything is set to go on my end, then the VA appraisal came in at $375K.  Our contract is for $385K.  The LA immediately sent an addendum to the negotiator with a new close date of 6/15 (due to tax transcripts not completed by IRS yet) and the new appraised price.  He has not heard anything and it's been two weeks.  Today he got a message from BOA with all the closing details, final HUD approval etc, but it did not include the appraised price or the postponed date.  I am set to close pending tax transcripts and appraised price, but we can't seem to get ahold of anyone.  Apparently the negotiator sent a message to the LA that he will be out of the office until the 28th.  That leaves the day of COE to get this postponed and a new closing price approved......

HELP!!!!  Any suggestions??????

Have the LA email Mr. Hepner and Mr. Selman, they usually email back within 4hrs. These guys will get you in touch with the right people.

Good luck

Office of the president: 800-801-4860 or 704-386-5687
Several key supervisors within the short sale department:
Kenneth Hepner - 972-526-3665 ([email protected]) and his supervisor Billy Selman - 972-526-1324 ([email protected])
Try the escalation number 1-866-880-1232
What number is this for? Has it worked? My LA called the office of the pres yesterday and found out my negotiator and his replacement are out of town for training. His replacement is supposed to be back in the office today. I need to get this done!! 9 months I've had an offer on this house, I've spent over $1500 on appraisals, bee removal, inspections etc. I just wish BoA would respond.
Thanks
When dealing with Bank of America, we try everything: write the CEO is one....and maybe you'll get a response from one of the supervisors.

Or call every number that is offered on this discussion. This is supposed to be an Escalation Number where desperate buyers and sellers and their agents can call for help. What have you got to lose?

I passed the number on to the LA, unfortunately as the buyer I cannot talk to anyone. It's crazy because in a normal sale you can negotiate with a real person, with S/S's you're negotiating with a computer and with the chance that a live person might actually get back to you. We asked for an extension over two weeks ago and have not heard any response from the negotiator despite repeated attempts by the LA.
Thanks for your help, I'll keep you updated
