Currently in process with a valid short sale. Accepted counter offer by BofA. Negotiated by REDC. Fannie Mae is investor. Foreclosure date is in 2 days. Have been trying to get postponed for 2 months.

First they tell me you can't make a request for postponement until 14 days prior, then they tell me to have the buyer wire funds for downpayment to escrow and show proof, then they tell me it's Fannie Mae's discretion, then Fannie Mae tells me it all up to the servicer...

We have done everything on our end but BofA won't postpone. Any ideas this late in the game?

I do remember geting an email a few weeks ago stating tht BofA was no longer doing any foreclosure postponements.  that being said, the BEST way to get help is with the twitter tool.  tweet them @BofA_help, tell them that you need help with a short sale immediately....do not leave the address or the loan #.  They will retweet you asking you to privately tweet them the info and they will call you within 24hours (although, my experience has been within 4-6 hours).  I have had them do amazing things for me in the past.  They are the only help that REALLY helps.  Good Luck!

I have found in the past that a call to the foreclosing attorney can be very useful.  You didn't say how much of a postponement you need, and nobody will want to help for something open-ended. However, when other things fail, talk to the atty for the bank and tell them that you need X days - when will the sale be? They often will fine a way to lose the papers for a month. You'd be surprised how nice they can be.

If that goes nowhere, try a local judge - they can get it set aside for X months.
