Bank of America and VA, FHA Short Sales

We have just been notifed that Bank of America has erroneously assigned VA Offers in Compromise and FHA Short Sales to Equator.  These files will now be handled by special negotiators. They told us they have increased their staffing by "1000%"  Yes One-Thousand Percent, and things should be going "very fast" now...  (The specific file we called on was started by us in Equator per their instructions, and we made seven phone calls to get the seller's password.  Three weeks later, different story.)  So if you have a VA or FHA short in process - do not start it in Equator.

Does anyone have any updates on FHA Bank of America short sales? Are they now loaded into Equator. I haven't been able to get the answers from BofA yet. Thank you in advance for any current information you may have!!

Sorry---just saw your post Paola.  Did you resolve the issue already?  I got a 1-800 for FHA from another SS superstar and they assigned a ticket to my file....had the approval three weeks later..let me know if you need it, I can look up the old post or you may be able to see what I have posted and find it there.

Hi there,  I need contacts for a VP or higher for a short sale that has been dragging on and on since May. The offer we have meets the criteria for approval, but we just continue getting the run around..new appraisal, new BPO and no answers. Thanks, I need it asasp.  I'm going to lose my buyer.

Lisa...Have you called FHA yet?  They can issue a ticket number for your file.  You need the LOA and case number.  877-622-8525.  Another SS Superstar gave me the number (She was also named Lisa) and it got me the approval in 3 weeks!   Although, I hate to say that 5 months is not so bad for an FHA short....my last one was 13 months and the one before was 7.UGH!!   Good luck!
