I've initiated the first loan in Equator (both loans are BOA) but when I went to initiate the 2nd I received a message "Loan Number XXXXXXXXX already exists in the application."

Any suggestions?

Thanks

One Equator entry is fine, at least, that is what I've done.
Just be sure to include the request for consideration in the Equator offer screen and on the preliminary HUD1. You should show both payoff amounts, separately, in the 500 section of the HUD.
I've had good results (so far) with 1st and 2nd, owned by different investors, but both serviced by BofA. It's odd, but it seems to work. Mabye because mine have been CW piggybacks?
("I'll give you $2,000. No, I demand more. How much? I want 10% of UPB. Hold on, I'll see...Nope, $3,000, max. Ok.")
Make sure to double check that the loans are linked together. Most of the time they are but I'm working on where they were not linked together. Everyone at BofA kept saying, "hmm, that's odd". Anyway, it took a few phone calls to deal with it and ultimately it was the Short Sale Department that linked the two. It is new that the Short Sale Department can handle this. It used to be Customer Service and so I kept getting transferred back and forth. This all happened this week.
thanks for the info!
