Hi there. This is an interesting scenerio....need some insight. I have a friend who owns a home and is renting it out. she didnt pay taxes on it back years ago, so they have put tax lien on this one. Then the house she is living in now, ( which she is buying on contract) the owners didnt take care of the taxes owed, so they now have a tax lien as well. How can I help her? I will get an authorization to release so I can contact her people, but will they take fees off? and such. The fees and so are outrageous. she can pay monthly installments. She just received these notices so, we have a little time. She is a friend, and I wanted to help her if I could. What say you??? thanks so much ladies and gents! God bless...

That is a tough one, I seriously doubt the tax collector is going to cut her a break. Talk to your tax collector or clerk of courts and ask them what they suggest and if that gets you nowhere, talk to y0ur local government leaders. I would think that if she agreed to pay it in installments, they would work something out, some money is better than no money in this case.
Thanks Jeff! I am sure praying they will work with her. IF, they do not, can Igo about buying the note, or paying the taxes, I mean if they will not and she is unable to do what they ask, could I purchase this house? Thanks....God bless...
