Probate short sale

Good Afternoon to all

We are currently handling property in probate in which they would to proceed with a short sale on. Does anyone know if the lender will pay the cost of the probate case? Roughly about $5k

Interesting that the personal representative wants to go with a short sale. My experience has been they people involved just let it go to foreclosures.
