I have a short sale where Coldwell Banker Home Loans (CBHL) is the 2nd lien holder. I have submitted documentation and have gotten through to them occasionally. However, I submitted a request for a payoff quote 3 weeks ago (1st requested it). Now when I call in to ask about the payoff and check on the process of the short sale, I am sent to the short sale department and I stay on hold for hours - Literally. A few days ago I was on hold for over two hours. Once I did all I could do on my other transactions without using the phone I hung up. Is there a number to their CEO's office or something where someone can help me get just a simple update?
And the ironic thing about all this is that they have a recording when you first call that department that says, "Your hold time is approximately one minute."

I'd say bypass all that. Have the seller call in to CUSTOMER SERVICE and request that the payoff be sent to him - you can ask him to give them your fax number instead of his to avoid any "minor" hassles about 3rd party bull.
They NEED to be responsive to the seller and they know it. If they don't give the info to him and the SS fails, he can sue them into the ground and possibly put people in jail for violating truth in lending to ruin his life. Cust Svc is also more trained to be helpful to "the public".
