Ok so here is the issue. Everything was fine with the short sale and the documents were sent to Escrow. i got an email stating they are waiting on an extension because the closing date was missed. I have no idea why it was missed or who dropped the ball. I was told by the sellers agent that the person who is handling our case now is overwhelmed with work and she is unable to get a hold of him. What am I supposed to do? If they wait much longer we may lose out on the house all together! I had no idea anything was even wrong. We were just waiting for Tuesday after the holiday to go to Escrow and sign and now we have this bad news. What can I expect? How long do we have? Do you think Chase will grant the extension? Thank you everyone for all of your help! : (

Ashley - You can normally get an extension on a Chase short sale approval. Hopefully, the listing agent or short sale negotiator has escalated the file beyond the negotiator. Have them join our site to get contact information.
From the sound of her messages, she is still dealing with the negotiator and it has not gone beyond him. She has been calling and leaving messages for him since last Friday and he has yet to provide the documents. I am SO frustrated!!!!!!!! : (
