Big opportunity here...ANY ONE who was in the foreclosure process during 2009 or 2010 with one of the 13 participating servicers are going to be receiving payments, even if they completed a short sale!! Most short sales, especially in those years, were in some sort of foreclosure before it finally got approved and closed and they will be eligible for payment. The payments will be between "a few hundred dollars up to $125,000 based on criteria I am yet to find. They will be receiving notices from Rust Consulting, Inc if they have not already. The notices look like junk mail, they are NOT. Payments will follow in 6 to 8 weeks.

Look up your your book of business, research what is going on (you can find all sorts of info on Google) and reach out to those who you think may receive payment. Your information may spur them to register their contact information with Rust Consulting (many who defaulted have strategically become ghosts) and receive payment, you will be a proactive hero to them. They are now almost if not already eligible for a mortgage again and ready to get back into the market, you will own their business and their referrals for being so in tune with their situation.

If nothing else this is an interesting opportunity to keep connected with your past and future clients.
