We are a buyer looking to close on a house serviced by Ocwen. Our short sale negotiator sent over the final HUD on Monday morning and we must close by Friday as that's when some of the releases for the liens start expiring. Do we have a shot to get it in writing- already approved verbally in the new 2 days or are we finished?
Thanks!

We did not close and we found out the reason. Ocwen wouldn't give us approve because last Thursday, they ordered a new BPO. The appraiser did a drive-by and decided to up the purchase price by $20,000 and they never told anyone that they did it. This house has been vacant for 2 years and since the last BPO (september 2013) the condition has gotten worse. We were just going to deal with it instead of dealing with getting it lowered.
The appeal has been ordered filed and we are back to waiting for approval, again. Short sales are not for the faint hearted….
