Chase is so Messed up

So I had my short sale closed about 5 months ago and I still see it on my Chase acct home page with my credit card acct.

So I called them last month and one person told me it's closed and to give it a little time as they are just finishing up things on their end.

So today I called again and now someone tells me it's opened and I said it's closed and I have the final hud, etc..etc...

She said it shows it open and has multiple offers on it. She then insinuated that we closed it without their approval. 

Are they really this messed up?????

They have no clue what is going on.

Makes you wonder.....

I guarantee they accepted payment just ask escrow or whoever funded the loan.  Their acceptance itself was approval.

ANVO- accept no verbal orders: 

Just mail them your copy of the HUD1 by certified mail. Demand that the account be closed and corrected within 3 days of receipt of your letter,  and that any final credit reports regarding it be made as of the date of the HUD1.

Make sure to follow up regarding credit reporting agencies, make sure that they have the correct date in thier files. There will be negative reporting involved for some statutory period. IF necessary send them a copy of page one of the HUD1 or some other document. If you have a copy of the holder/servicer approval letter use that and ask that the reporting agencies use that date as well.

You need to keep following up on this to make sure the file closed.  I had a file very similar to this.  The Short Sale was completed, Funded, and the new homeowners moved in.  They had a vacation planned, so they hadn't unpacked yet.  While they were out of town, the bank came back, changed the locks on the door, and winterized the home.  They damaged the front door in doing so.  Obviously, this resulted in a Law Suit.  Obviously a communication error on the park of the bank, but imagine coming home from vacation, and thinking your home had been vandalized, and then realizing that you were locked out of your new home.
