This is my first time doing a HAFA short sale.  Can I put the property on the market prior to approval from BOA?

Yes!  If you wait for BOFA to approve in advance, you might be waiting two months.  The seller can still do HAFA if you list it first. They can apply now or apply with the contract submission.

Cynthia just making sure.....your sellers qualify right? Have you checked if the investor participates? Is there MI and if so please check if they participate! Get your RMA, dood frank, 4506t and utility bill ready.

Eric made a great point. B of A participates but the underlying investor may not participate in HAFA or feel that the buyer qualifies. I would go ahead and list 1st. If they send you to AMS they'll give you the price but if they send you to REDC or just BAC they can still do hafa and they'll take an offer and go from there.
