B of A and HAFA

Hello All,

 

I could use your sage advice.  I have 2 files with B of A they are both going through HAFA. Both files have been with HAFA since January, the file is complete, the appraisal is in...and we still don't have approval.

 

Is there anyway to expedite our file or escalate it? Both buyers are about to drop out and I'd really like to save both deals.

I wish I had an answer for you. I have have a BofA HAFA that they told me they have ordered the BPO over 3 weeks ago!! I've called the 3rd party negotiator, REDC almost every day for 2 weeks wondering what the heck is taking so long for a BPO agent come and atleast do the walk-through.

 

How long did it take for the BPO to completed on your two files?

Have you tried escalating to HAFA?  I have one that I submitted on 3/23/11 that we are closing on 6/1/11 and it went pretty smooth but I had to send an escalation email to get them moving on it.

Hi Jed,

 

We didn't even have a BPO. B of A sent out an appraiser. It was completed on 4/13/11!

Is it with any of the HAFA servicers such as AMS or LRC?

Very common for BofA, It has been a long time since I have seen a BPO done with BofA compared to an appraisal
