HI,

It has been a very long time since I have completed an Indymac shortsale and I'm pretty certain that my escalation contacts are out dated.  Anyone out there have a contact to move things along???

Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

Jan, I just completed one last week.  Has your file been assigned to Servicelink yet?  We started with IndyMac but then they handed it over to them.  I got the impression they are handling all the processing.

No, not yet...How are they to work with??? It has been a while since I worked with Service Link as well...I have heard that the seller can request that the file be processed by the servicer and not the servicer's designee.  Did they require a 1% concession to them from agents??? The whole industry has gone to hell in a hand basket.  I have a foreclosure date of 6/12/2013 so, I must hit the ground running...Just want to get all of my ducks in a row...

Thank you!

It depends on who you get as negotiator.  File processing is slow.  I had 2 negotiators tell me how backed up they were, so they likely are extremely backed up.

No luck getting the file back with IndyMac.  We tried repeatedly. IndyMac flat out told us they weren't touching it and Servicelink issued the approval letters (they just write them on IndyMac letterhead) and has the direct contact with the investor.

They didn't ask for a commission cut- BUT I voluntarily cut it to make a counter work so it ended up being a total of 5%.  It was really brutal.  DeutscheBank was the investor, offer was $5,000 over buyer's appraisal, no closing costs and no relocation (HAFA).

It took IndyMac over a month to get it to ServiceLink.  Hopefully, they are moving faster now.
