I have couple of approvals where dates are different than the dates on the Equator closing task. I have asked my closer to correct these dates but he refuses to do it . How I can make them to correct these dates? I do have this situation on my 4 other files. Approval letters are issued wih an expiration date not matching Equator's due date in order to complete closing task.

Please help.

I've never had a closing officer refuse to do that. What's their reason?
Approval letter is good through 5-15-2010 and Equator's exp. date 6-5-2010

How far apart are the dates? give me an example.
Greg,

The approval letter is normally the date used. Getting an extension is difficult. Do you have a buyer able to close on or before either dates? This is usually the determining factor for an extension.
Armi,
I have received an approval letter on April 26th and having an approval good through 5-15-2010 is insane. I have closed around 30 short sales with Bank of America within last 12 months and I have never had such a bad experiance with closing these Equator deals.
Servicer approval/demand letter governs, that's the binding document, in my experience.

Don't think you can extent closing date, because Equator task has a later date, if that's what you are trying to do.
I did changed the approval letter's exp.date. Thnaks to Armi;) Thank you Armi.
