Anyone ever deal with this before? I've seen some crazy things but this is a first for me. Property owner used to own a restaurant and never paid the food tax. I'm scratching my head on where to begin...LOL.

I'd handle it like a tax lien. First find out who liened the property, state, county, city. Then get a power of attorney to speak with them. I'd suggest teaming up with an accountant or tax attorney on this one, if you do, put them on the LOA as well.
I'm with Jim..treat like any other lien??
