BOA Short Sale Submitted 12/10/09 - Now told to Register at Equator....

Is this a good thing?  I registered at Equator.  My seller did their part on the BOA/Short Sale web site.  I completed first task at equator (upload authorization letter) and seller filled in and submitted their financial statement and hardship (online version at site).  Now I wait for next task to be assigned.  Here are some questions:

1. How long will it take for "next tasks to be assigned"?
2. Does calling BOA S/S phones help to ask questions anymore?
3. Does the move to Equator mean that no one has the package that I faxed on 12/10?

I will be patient...but advise and help is welcome!

1) Make sure your seller logs on and answers questions and uploads their info. No other task will be assigned until the seller completes this. No, they will not call or email you to let you know what the seller needs to do.
2) BofA still handles calls but you need to ask for a person trained on Equator.
3) BofA probably still has your fax info but you have to upload docs in Equator. BofA staff will not do it for you.
I believe you are correct in what you are describing. The problem is BOA is not training all their employees to give the correct information on Equator. I was forwarded to Technical Support when I couldn't get into the site. BOA said all the information was correct & that it was a technical problem. After several days of attempting to contact (at least 1/2 hour waiting on the line & no response). I finally waiting over an hour for Tech Support, got a live person on the line to describe the correct protocol for dealing with Equator. The agent said that BOA is not giving their agents training to deal w/Equator & that they are being bombarded with calls from agents directed from BOA.
This is a great site for support & responding to questions that no one else may have the answer for. In theory, it sounds like a great idea, but practicallythey need to get their act together.
Equator is just the latest in B of A's attempt to stall for time. You have to duplicate ALL the items you've probably already sent. IF this system were used properly it would be great. But it just seems to give B of A another reason to be able to chalk up delays.
