We wouldn't qualify though b/c we don't have orders yet....we have over extended ourselves financially though and ruined our credit, so are trying to sell the house and move on to base to try to rebuild our credit before we DO get orders in February...
Never mind, I googled it...it looks like there has to be a base closure or some sort of other type of thing to cause housing to decline in order to qualify for it...that's not the case where we're stationed.
Yes, my realtor would kill me if she knew I was browsing on this site, she keeps telling me every short sale is different and to just be patient. Reading everyone's stories has me wanting to just throw in the towel most days and give up.
Suntrust really won't be taking much of a hit on our short sale, it's our 2nd that will take the hit, and they've already given us a verbal agreement (at least from my understanding)
The negotiator sent ours to the investor last Thursday, so i'm not sure where we are in the process or how much longer it will take. We had our first offer submitted in March but those buyers backed out, but I think that helped us in the long run when we got our second offer b/c we were already in the system and had gotten started.
