MN has a six month redemption period after sheriff sale has occurred.  All other servicers but Indymac will work with short sales during that six month period.  We recently started three short sales with Wachovia in the redemption period and they seem to have no department to handle these.  The short sale dept won't work with them and the REO department doesn't seem to know what to do with the offers.

Do any of you have concrete info as to whether or not Wachovia will consider a short sale during the redemption period?  Please advise of success, non-success, etc.  If you had success, can you provide contact info of person at Wachovia that walked it through for you?
