Sanity Check Regarding Wachovia's Foreclosure Sale Postponement Policy (as of 2/17/11)

Folks, I read in an earlier discussion thread in this Wachovia Group about Wachovia's policy of NOT POSTPONING a scheduled foreclosure sale if they're within 10 business days of the sale.  However, when my referral partner on a potential deal called in yesterday they told him the policy was 10 calendar days versus 10 business days.

Has anyone run into this business day versus calendar day issue with Wachovia?

And/or, has anyone been successful with getting a Wachovia sale postponed when they were inside 10 business days?

Thanks for your responses in advance!  ;-)

if you find out who your area REO rep. is you can get them stopped up until the day before the auction, business or otherwise.

We have this contact for Maryland, DC, and Virginia if you have short sales in this area.

As ALWAYS it the above, if you take the time to find out who the Investor is on the note, you can ALWAYS contact them directly.

Best of luck!!!!

Ben,

1. I faxed the complete SS Pkg to Wachovia yesterday and will be calling today to see what they say about postponing the sale. I'll ask them who the investor is in case I need to try to pull that string.

2. I faxed my Authorization Letter to the Foreclosure Sale Trustee in case I need to try to find out who the investor is and/or work the short sale offer through them.

3. In case I need to work the Area REO Rep. angle, do you have any tips on finding out who my area (Texas) Wachovia REO Rep. is?  I googled such and only got generic contact info for Wachovia REO!

Thanks much for tips, advice, recommendations!

Kent
