After years of battling BofA, and really the investor, over this property, we have an approved short sale. We are getting ready to settle on Aug 29. The approval is until Sept 7. And NOW we find out that servicing is being transferred to SPS!

I can't talk to them until I send a 3rd party authorization, I can't send that until they get the file on the 16th at the earliest.

Anyone have any advice, so that I am prepared?

Please help! Does anyone know how to get around the PMI, We had approval from the investor then we get blindsided and told that PMI needed to up the net and there is no way that the property will appraise for the price they are looking for. We have sent them a CMA and a contractor bid to show the price of the property.  Does anyone have any contacts for SPS that could help us?

I have a second mortgage stuck in oblivion between BOA and SPH- some sort of transfer that never happened.  The first has full approval on the shortsale but I cant get SPS to acknowledge that THEY have to be the one to release the lien.  I have a letter from BOA stating that they are the servicer that I want to send to someone as SPS that can help- anyone have any names and numbers OR is there a research or special circumstances dept that I can contact? The home goes to foreclusure in a month...

SPS has an OMBUDSMAN Department that can help in foreclosure date extensions, if the short sale department would not give it.  This department helped me today.  Check out their website for the department's phone number.

I believe the phone numbers in the header section of this group may be reversed.

1-801-293-3936 appears to be the fax number and 1-888-818-6032 appears to be the phone number for Loss Mitigation.

I just had a HAFA short sale approved by SPS.  - I had another transaction with them last year, and it didn't go well.  This one went very smooth, all documentation and offer submitted Feb 25, and approval today, 4/13.  I really think the Investor has a lot to do with the approvals - this was a FNMA loan, interest only and the Seller had some serious medical issues and loss of income.  They are getting $3000 to relocate and all are happy.  Hopefully the Buyer will fulfill their end with financing, etc. *happy today*
