Hello! I am hoping someone can help me. Short sale approved BofA first, Greentree 2nd. A judgement from a Beneficial signature loan popped up on title 2 days before closing LONG, LONG, LONG STORY SHORT, THEY SOLD IT TO A 3RD PARTY 3 1/2 YEARS AGO. The HSBC Beneficial account is showing "paid in Full Zero balance" on my client's credit report. My client has reached a settlement with the third party. We have been working with the lien release department at HSBC to get the judgment released. They said it is still showing a balance but they agree that they sold the note and received money for it. I sent them paperwork from the 3rd party with confirmation from the 3rd party that they in fact bought it. HSBC is still insisting they cannot release the judgment even though they no longer hold the paper to it. I have asked for their legal dept and they wont transfer me. Anyone have an idea on what I can do??
Thank you
