How do I counter  a BPO that came back too high?  HFC came back with a BPO value $50,000 higher than the offer price!  What do I do?

make sure you find out who the "real" decision maker is. HFC might just be the servicer, and you need to talk to the investor and/or the mortgage insurance. Talk to whoever is going to take the bath for the short fall. Use a quallified written request from the seller to the servicer, requesting the name and contact info for the investor and the mortgage insurance.
