I have a short sale facing foreclosure - first lien has agreed to pay $3600 towards a 2009 Judgement from Household Finance, with principal balance of $14,359. My lawyer has been talking with their lawyer for 6 weeks now, and the closest we can get is their demand for $10K. Sellers are mid-60's and broke.
Before the foreclosure plug gets pulled - anyone have a contact at Household Finance that can show them that $3600 and a promissary note is better than an unsecured judgement???

Hi Jeanne. My clients have a 3rd with beneficial. Just wondering if you were able to resolve this and if you have an escalation contact.
Julie - I never did get a contact, but in the end we settled with the lawyers who handled the judgement for about 50% of the current balance, and got the SS closed. Good luck.
