So, my husband and I were going through a short sale and basically just waiting for them to contact us to let us know if they accepted to go through with our buyers offer, months went by so my realitor called....weeks later he finally contacted someone from everhome and they said our file was dead to them because the sheriffs sale had come and passed! I was floored to find this out since we were waiting for THEM....so, I didn't want to give up, the next week I called n they said to talk to an attorney (which they gave me the number to) I told the attorney everhome wasn't accepting short sales anymore after a sheriffs sale n she said yes they do and to call them back to ask to talk to someone who understood the mn laws. Did that n was told by them to re submit the whole package....did that now thwy are saying we cannot do a short sale! PLEAASE I NEED SOME ANSWERS I'M GETTING DIFFERENT ANSWERS FROM DIFFERENT PEOPLE!! What do I do?

Its driving me crazy! I just need an answer!
A bank does not have to entertain a short sale - it is not your right, so tread lightly. You seem to have a friend at the attorney's office - use her. Keep going to her with your problems, ask her what to do, she will probably call the bank and talk to them. It may be possible that you get some traction if you have an excellent story. Not bothering to call in to see where things are is NOT an excellent story.

I have had issues with Everhome and had some great work done - you have a much better chance of working this out than you would at BofA where Fannie Mae doesn't give a hoot because it is taxpayer money that they are wasting, not their precious vacation time, etc.

Do you have a great short sale for them? Is this just mediocre? There are people at everhome who will actually use logic.

I don't know that this will help, I'll send your story to one of them. On the other hand, after she fixed my short sale up, the buyers walked - she is not thrilled with me at the moment... ;-)
Thank u for ur help! Yes, the offer was a very good one, come to find out, now everhome is saying they never received our first package from NQS....I understand they don't have to accept a short sale, I just can't believe there willing to loose soooo much money by not accepting the good offer! I also contacted a women from everhome and she heard the story n wrote an email to a higher up because she couldn't believe all that has been done/said.....but I was suppose to hear from them within 48 hrs n still have not received a call :( I just want my story to be heard to a higher up because I think they would think it was a mistake as well :(
