AMS has made a mess of HAFA. I'm fighting the same battle. Client applied for HAFA at the end of December all paperwork and an offer submitted to AMS in January, I have had nothing but issues with it. Client was approved to participate in the program Feb 10th and we have been waiting on a BPO. After 20 phone calls in almost 2 weeks my client finally received a call that the BPO will be done on Saturday. Client was served with a Notice of Sale for April 1st. Investor is Fannie Mae and says they will not postpone. I have this esclated with AMS, and B of A. When I called Fannie the person I spoke with said B of A is the worst to deal with. I've tried getting in touch with the Office of the CEO and President with B of A several times. I've been on hold today for 40 mins and still no one has picked up. Getting to wonder if I'm calling an empty desk.
If your investor is Fannie or Freddie I would start calling them now and esclate it up the chain especailly if it's an error on the servicer. The number for the office of the President is 877-498-7226. If you call and get through please let me know.
Good Luck!!!
