Kent - Actually, a friend who works at another brokerage didn't get the res.net email. She also does T assignments but didn't get the email questionaire.

Agree with Makoto 100% on the referral split. No problem there - at all.

Makoto, my main point still stands. What about all the Titanium Reps that are going to pay their $250 up-front, hoping to get a short sale assigned, and then never get one? Now, it may be different than I understand and you may not have to sign up and "invest" the $250 until you get an assignment; that would make it more palateable. But that's not my understanding. It looks like the RES.NET sign-up email went out to all Titanium Reps. But the plan according the the Excellen CEO (per the HREU interview) was to only chose select Titanium Reps to give short sale assignments to.

Wendy - I also think that all of something (75/25 split on listing side) is better than 100% of nothing. Make it a great day!

Makoto - THANK YOU, I get it :)

Kent - True $250 is nothing to sneeze at. Maybe it has to be put into perspective and just think of either spending $250 on postcard mailing for potential leads vs. $250 on res.net for potential listings. Which would you choose?

Wendy - I'm with T and have a short sale listing through them. I'm okay with paying them a fee for the listing but my main purpose for joining T was to help homeowners. Getting the listing was further down the list. It may not be the best business decision if you just look at it from the income side of things.

As for the people who might have called you anyway... the people who I contacted would not have contacted me to help them. I'm pretty sure of it.

I'm a Titanium HRC and I'm struggling with the idea of paying a $250 fee to a 3rd party for the priviledge of using their platform which is required by B of A or Titanium or both in order for us to work the short sales assigned to us by Titanium. This sounds like a money making venture to me. What about the 3 out of 4 HRCs that pays their $250 only to NEVER receive an assignment. RES.NET does this to the poor REO wanna-be's who sign up to do BPOs hoping to get REO listings. I've heard a large # of those folks (I was one so I have actual experience with this) pay their $250 for the BPO/REO opportunity, and then NEVER GET ANYTHING out of it. That's not an investment my friends, that's dumping money down the drain. If Titanium would like me to assist them with some short sales, they'll be paying my $250 fee up front for me! Or we'll just agree to disagree! ;-)

Hello Titanium specialists: Is it worth signing up for this company if you already have a lot of short sale business? I.E. why pay a referral fee for someone who might have called you anyway? Is it a good business decision?

Just received a follow up from RES.Net. Excellen will be using this platform so Titanium HRCs will need to be signed up there. Minimum membership will be the Listing Membership Access ($250/yr) to get listing referrals. However, agents getting the Accelerated Management Platform (AMP) will get priority.
