Just received approval for an Indy/OWB short sale. The sellers are living in the home, have signed an occupancy affidavit but Indy will not give them the $3,000 moving incentive because their paystubs and bank statements show their PO Box mailing address. I got a statement from their bank manager showing their address but they will not accept this. Is there any recourse?

What about their utility bill? Does that have their names on it and does it reflect the property address? I'd also be providing a letter of explanation from the homeowners along with the statement from the bank manager and speaking to upper level contacts.

Thanks for your response. They would not accept a utility bill either. This is totally unfair because they clearly live in the home and deserve the $3,000. I have spoken with a supervisor and they are working on it. What I have submitted now is their PO Box application. I'm not taking this lying down.!
Update. They didn't accept the notarized affidavit, the electric bill, the PO Box app, but they asked for a cable bill. Now, because the cable bill is in "his" name, the check will need to be written to him. It's okay with the couple but all of this "hogwash" is still going on in short sales.
