Well my client just received a HAFA Short Sale package from Wells Fargo. Yeah! My first one. We listed the house and received multiple offers. Accepted an offer and submitted the package to the lender with a request for a HAFA Short Sale with a HAMP modification waiver. BPO was ordered and completed early on. About 2 weeks later we received the HAFA Short Sale package, it came in the mail to my client. We reviewed it, filled it out and sent in the necessary documention. Now we have about 30 days until we receive a price approval. I will keep everyone posted.
By the way...we decided to not wait to list the property and first get a HAFA approval. The market in Arizona is strong right now and we did not want to waste precious time so we decided to back door this in to the lender. All the HAFA paperwork was identical to what I already had knowledge of from the HAFA Classes I took.
Has anyone else been successful with a HAFA short sale or at a point further along than myself?
