Got 1st lienholder to approve short sale with seller getting $3000 in  HAFA relocation assistance, then get approval from 2nd lien holder with stipulation that condition of approval is that the $3000 be paid to them. So much for the HAFA PROGRAM Just more money for the lienholder. Any suggestions?

It's up to the seller, but personally I would go back to the 2nd and say 'Well, you cant have the relocation assistance because the first did not approve that on the HUD and there can not be 'side-deals' at closing. If you are demanding $3,000 then I will have to submit a new hud for the 1st to approve with an additional $3,000 to the 2nd. (i.e. the 2nd gets $3,000 and the borrower gets $3,000)
