I have a case where the borrower's lender is Chase and she has been told she needs to work directly with Fannie Mae to do the short sale. This is a first for me..has anybody had this kind of situation and if so, how do you even start?
Please let me know..
Thank you,

I've worked with FM but only because we escalated to them when a servicer was unresponsive. I actually find them MUCH quicker and easier to deal with than the servicer and if your servicer is Chase then thank your blessing because IMO Chase is a train wreck with paperwork. I hope they go to Equator. Fannie is great to deal with directly.
