I have been trying for days to get a sale date postponed that is set for tomorrow 9/2/11.  Wells Fargo has all updated documents and a ready, willing and able cash buyer.  Usually do not have any problems get sales postponed when lender is actively working the short sale.  Equator shows status as FCL POSTPONEMENT but the clerk's office has it scheduled for sale.

Any suggestions?

I would try calling Wells Fargo's foreclosure department directly or calling the atty's office handling the foreclosure.  Short sale doesn't always communicate with foreclosure...  Good luck!
Eas:

1 - Set aside about 2 hours of your time

2 - Get in a comfortable chair

3- Gather your list of Wells Fargo contacts

4 - Pour yourself a nice adult beverage (this step is optional) as it is going ot be a LOOOOOONG 2 hours!!!!

If you ahve a good contact (or 10) at Wells you might be ok.
Also, ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS find out who the Investor is on the loan.....with this information, you can contact the Investor on the loan directly, and, go over your situation with them.

Best of luck!!!!

Jennifer and Ben, do either of you have a fairly surefire method to discover the investor on a WF loan? I don't yet have access to loan documents, but want to be prepared for all eventualities.

Thanks to anyone else, too, that has a discovery method to uncover the ID of an investor on WF loan.
