I recently started a SS w/WF- hadn't done one with them in 6 months. (Seems they have gone backwards in processing...)

Faxed Authorization, LA, WF financial wksht to number WF provided me.  Told to give it 48-72 hours for upload.  Call back 4 days later - no record of my fax - told number I faxed to was wrong.  Need to fax to 866-903-1053 and give it 48 hours to be entered into system.  OK, done.  Call back...  Guess what? Nope, I needed to send just the Authorization to another fax not the 1053 #.  That number is 866-917-1877.

OK, done.  Call for my weekly check in - ask to verify that SS is being considered for HAFA.  It wasn't so the file was moved to another department.  Also, I was told that I could not open this file in Equator since I had already started the process.  Today, I received an email telling me to initiate the short sale in Equator. :)  Meanwhile we have lost almost a month monkeying around.  Gotta love 'em!  Hope this info helps someone else avoid this run around...

I don't wait any more for their 48 hour turn around.  I fax to any and all numbers I have available.  I call daily, some times many times in one day, until I speak to someone who takes pride in doing their jobs.

You must be tenacious!

WF is on equator now.  I am doing a short sale with ASC for WF and OMG, I faxed it 6 times and it didn't go through...I finally initiated the sale on Equator.  If you're not familar with Equator the WF set up is HORRIBLE or at least the ASC for WF is horrible.  BOA is soooooo much easier and I never thought I'd say that.  The steps are too cumbersome and the only reason I did it was because I was sick of my fax not going through.

Faxing and emailing packages are SOOOO much easier and more streamlined than equator.  BOA seems easier, but I honestly would fax if I thought it was working.  I couldn't get them to recieve it.  I'm on my 3rd day inputting info into equator.  I think ASC is going to have to make a BIG change to it's equator system because NO agent in their right mind is going to want to use this.

At least they have the package now though.

Thanks for the warning though I did start the process in Equator for WF and it seemed - so far - to be pretty equal to the experience that I had in the past with BofA.  Except that it wouldn't let me initiate, but contacting the appointed troubleshooting person in the email asking me to intiate in Equator had me up and running within 30 minutes.  That was impressive - so we'll see.  Personally, I would rather work through the Equator system.  You can see what documentation has been submitted and everything is transparent.  I have never experienced anything like what you describe??  One thing I will pass along is that the last time I had a SS go through Equator (BofA) is that the system required the homeowner to upload some documentation into the system under separate entry and password (they will have their own dashboard), and it will be information that they've already asked you for, so it more than likely will already be in the system - hardship letter, financial records.  I did not know about this request as it went only to the homeowner and the homeowner ignored it because they had already provided that information...  Things may have streamlined since last fall (pre-HAFA, ha!) but I'll throw that out there just to be on the look-out for it.  Good luck to you!
I'm in the same boat with you.  I've asked several times whether I can just initiate in Equator and they keep telling me to give it one more day to see why my negotiator (who got my file on February 28) hasn't contacted me.  I don't know what's going on over there but what a waste of our time!  Keep me updated, please.
Maybe the ASC side is different than the WF side??  I know that the stuff I inputted today was RIDICULOUS.  BOA for once was WAY easier.  For instance with BOA you upload ONE file for paystubs ONE file for bank statements, etc.  With ASC it was FOUR separate files.  FOUR separate bank statements.  What a joke...  Then instead of uploading the HUD you have to key in every line item.  The lawyer put a POC on the HUD and they don't account for that in the fields.  THE WORST part was the financial part.  I literally took a screen shot and asked the homeowner to fill in and fax back to me so I could key that stuff in.  It took at least 3 hours and I'm still not 100% finished as they won't proceed because the contract addendum isn't finished.

OK - I officially feel your pain!  This morning I had 7 tasks assigned, one being the HUD. bit by bit, field by field...  Once I hit "return" instead of tab and everything disappeared.  So after an hour of re-entry I saved; later I tabbed to a new field and poof every bit of my information gone!  I haven't even attempted the financial task.  Gotta laugh :)

The beauty is I've been waiting since I inputted everything. NO one has responded.  I called in and they said I had to email through Equator to check the status of the file.  I emailed in through equator and some random guy emailed me who wasn't assigned to the file stating I needed to CALL IN!!

Brenda,

This is BEAUTIFUL.  I emailed in and had a rep contact me saying my emails were going through Equator to him and that he didn't have access to equator.  I'm JUST trying to find out status of this file.  I now CALL in and escalate.  The CSR says teh person that my emails are going to IS IN FACT the person in charge of file.  I email the guy back and tell him CS says he's the one.  He emphatically says that he doesn't even WORK on short sales....I now call BACK in to CS and the rep has to leave a message with supervisor becuase they have NO idea what is going on.

I also finished ALLLLLLL the grueling tasks and the original CSR said they weren't complete.  I told her they were finished on my end and she says not on hers.

ASC has NO idea what they are doing.

I am having a similar issue where we created the file via fax submission of everything that was needed.  Then I ask them about Equator and they say "oh yeah go ahead and initiate, it will be great as you can check the status, etc."  Once I was finally able to initiate I was given all the tasks of inputting borrower contact, HUD items (manual entry of each line), seller financial statement, ect.  This was ALL provided to WF previously via fax - so I just called them to ask why it was necessary to redo and they said "don't worry about it, just let the tasks go overdue and WF will continue to process on their end."

I see no reason to take on the liability of entering the borrower's financial statement (for which the already completed WF branded statement does not align with the Equator entry one so I cannot simply transfer the numbers over) and I do not want to burden the seller with a request that has already been completed.

There are obvious integration issues and it seems pointless to redo all of the work.  The HUD entry is tedious and the financial statement entry presents too much liability.  From now on I will initiate in Equator ONLY if a file has not already been established via fax.

Has anyone heard the Wells Fargo 10 day submission rule? They told me today after speaking with them for the last two months, that if borrower is denied for HAFA shortsale and they qualify for an inhouse shortsale that an offer must be submitted 10 prior to the sales date. We we are at day five and they wont look at our offer.

Does anyone have an escalation contact for Wells Fargo?
