8 days to get approval....
Hi Everyone! I just listed a short sale yesterday. Sale date is 9/21. I have submitted all financials. I will be sending in a cash offer tonight. What are my chances of getting this sale date postponed? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I have never had to push one this fast!

Call daily, a few times a day to their escalations dept to see if you can speak with someone who can postpone. Don't wait. Call 803.396.6652 to see if someone there can help as well besides the short sale dept.

Once you are up for the sale, a call to the bank's atty can often get them to postpone it. Surprisingly to me, I've found them to often be nice - they can come back on the phone and tell you it isn't until xx - the next time. They obviously have done some technical paper shuffling to be nice and give you a shot at closing.
