I have just started process for requesting a short sale with US Bank. The bank filed a NTS the other day and borrower just got notice it is going to sale n the 23rd. What gets me is that this borrower applied for a modification 9 different times without any success and not once has she received an offer to do an alternative work out. Not only that, her payments skyrocketed, putting her in a worse place then she was was already in when she first asked for help. She's got a home full of children and a steady job, but just not enough to keep up the payments now that they are adjusting.
