Hi Michelle,
This happened to me as well and I called BoA. They told me it was a Government (VA) loan and was being handled by a different department, not through Equator. Don't worry, just call. It actually worked out better as I had direct communication with the negotiator. Good Luck!

I just got off the third call to BofA, they have instructed me to start from stractch, re-entering ; having seller call again, etc. I would not have such a problem with this, except I have to wait on the task assignments before I can even upload the offer. JUST stupid!

Do you know the investor? Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, BofNY, some others go through equator - I assume you already know that yours can go there. That being the case, if it has been a couple of days (maybe it is 3? maybe a week?, I don't recall), then you can go and re-init it from the website. However, just call the rep and say that you have a new buyer and ask them to get it started for you - that has always opened it right away for me.

I'll assume that since this is the 2nd time around, you've been through the crazy hoops. I process short sales and BofA drives me crazy with their insipid seller email mess. One rep actually told me that they want the seller to have the experience of being involved in the short sale. [Yeah, and everyone goes w/o Novocaine because they want to experience the full dentist trip..??] So, I shouldn't have to mention any other fun times w/them..

I had something similar and I had to call the short sale hotline to have the re-initiate the short sale. Sending messages to negotiator did not work.
