Carolyn, talk to the seller's attorney. The seller can go to court to stop the foreclosure. Usually if the banks have an offer they will postpone the foreclosure (2-3 days before). Which is the bank? Good luck!

Hi Carolyn, were you able to postpone the short sale with Indymac. I just got told the same thing about the 15 days prior to sale. I sent the full short sale package on April 14th. Plenty of time, so I thought. They told me that they imaged the file into their system on April 21st. So I was 14 days prior to the sale (I missed it by one day). Is this a crazy rule or it is bogus what they are telling me...

Nope, they would only look at a cash offer if within 14 days. So they have it now. Hope you can make yours work!

Carolyn, the offer that I submitted was a actually a cash offer. So do you think I stand a chance to postpone?

They told me that they would only look at cash offers within that time frame, so you should be able to get it reviewed.

Hi there Carolyn and Dee,

I just submitted a cash offer that has an NOT of May 6th !!! I am hopeful as the buyer has over $600k in an account. Offer is $160 and is above asking.


Here is an escalation number for all of you. I have sent him my whole file and he has forwarded to the short sale manager. I should hear from them in a few hours ! Good luck ladies. Please keep in the loop as to your progress !!
