Many of the Chicago Suburbs have one type of municipal pre-sale inspection or another. Chicago has a zoning compliance review (except condos), some others have simple storm-water inspections, others check zoning, building code and a host of other things.

I'll way in soon, but I wanted to ask, how are you dealing with these inspections? Are you having the seller pay for the inspection up-front, but the buyer is responsible for the escrows and repairs? Do you wait until the short sale is approved?
