I have a short sale going with B of A and AMS and I have to say this has to be the worst transaction ever.  We have the finger pointing game going on.  I have had underwriter approval to have the homeowner participate in the HAFA program since Feb 10th and no BPO has been ordered.  I follow up on the file weekly only to be told by AMS that it takes 3-4 weeks.  So today I call and I'm told we have a sale date scheduled for 4/1.  I've been on the phone with B of A and AMS (when you can get through) all day.  B of A says AMS orders the BPO and AMS tells me it's B of A.  When you call Fannie they tell me it's B of A.  Fannie also tells me that if they get the file at the end of the month they will not hold off on the foreclosure even though I can clearly document the disfuction between AMS and B of A.  This has also been in Equator since Feb 10th,.  Does anyone have any contacts at B of A or AMS so I can light a fire under somebody to get this moving?  The file has been esclated 2 times with AMS but I really don;t think that it has.  I have 1 loan and it's a small shortage.  I don't know why B of A doesn't come out and say they are not processing any HAFA short sales.  You can clearly tell they do not like the program.

I have 2 that have been just as difficult but in Underwriting since Nov 30th. I finally got someone to do something by calling the office of the President and CEO.  Here is the number for you. 877-498-7226 when you call they should open a file and see if they can "IM" someone.  They can also go up the chain of command.  This was the ONLY thing that helped me.  Stay on top of them as well. Good Luck!
ESCALATION PROCESS FOR HAMP AND HAFA

Call center for borrowers:  888-995-HOPE ask for MHA help
They will call the servicers directly on behalf of the borrower to get resolution to the
Issues and that the lenders are following HAFA guidelines

Call center for agents:  [email protected]
Agents need to include:
Borrower’s name
Property address
Loan number
Authorization to speak from borrower
Fill out FORM A from CDPE and attach it to email
Give details on problem

This process does work. I recommend having the home owner call AND you sending an email.
I cannot edit this reply properly as I am on my iPad and copied & pasted. The form a referenced is just an authorization to speak so don't stress trying to find one!! :)

Have anyone ever heard of "Waiting for the printer to print the AAS (short sale agreement)". I almost dropped the phone , when the person who answered the phone told me we have to wait two weeks for the printer to bring the agreement back. Anybody has any solution.
