I have been dealing with this sale since March.  I think we are almost there; latest from Equator says "Your counter-offer has been approved, subject to senior management approval".   Can anyone tell me what exactly this means and when we should have a final answer and be able to close.

Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

We originally got the message referenced above a couple of weeks ago. This morning we received the following...

"Great news, now that we have all of the required information for the
property at ******** , we are submitting the necessary information for
review to determine if the investor will approve the current short sale offer.
Once the investor review is complete we will be contacting you to discuss the
decision or notify you if any additional investor requirements are needed.

Thank you for your patience during this step in the process since it can require
input from multiple parties."

Did things start over at some point? Has anyone received this message and gotten to the next step? I am wondering how much longer...

Thanks,
Bryan
You apparently missed the hoopla a couple of months ago when BofA sent to agents their "Hey, we'll be sending updates to you vie equator now". (Yawn).. True to BofA upper management soul, it came from NOREPLY, said "if you have any suggestions, please let us know. We love being your partners" and the typical NO contact info. I've complained for a year that there is no one in charge, no liaison, no place to ask questions, complain, make suggestions - none. Still don't have any one decent...

Well, this is one step better than "you may have won 10 million dollars!" That is, if you have survived up to this point on the total of 3 messages which they have sent you over 4 months via equator, then, assuming you are still capable of reading, this is telling you that the negotiator saw that the deal meets the investor guidelines so he passed it on to the investor/MI. It IS a good sign in that regard. (should be the last step before you get the approval, except for the negotiators frequent mistakes)

I will be interested to see how many come back with a counter after you get one of these messages. So many of the people on that side of the equator take 3 seconds to read anything and way too often don't read the guidelines properly resulting in the investor saying, You Dummy, I said we don't pay nothing to no stinkin' attorney, we certainly don't give him a generous $100. You send that back with that out of there.

So, your message is good news. The unreliability of the people there make it not GREAT news, but likely very good. Assuming you have not retired by now and your heirs are getting your email for you... ;-)

Oh yeah, congrats! --- probably..
