I have just been informed by my closer at BOA that they have new guidelines regarding authorization. Not only do they have the new authorization form. But they are no longer allowed to talk to any licensed assistants or 3rd party negotiators even if they have 3rd party authorization on a property. They are only allowed to talk to the listing agent on the file. This will make it very complicated for those of us who have someone else working the file for the listing agent. If anyone has found away around this yet please share.

I'm a 3rd party negotiator and licensed Broker. I just called-in to BofA and spoke with a negotiator without any issues.
That is weird cause I am a licensed agent but they still would not talk to me cause I was not the listing agent on the equator file.
I ran into this yesterday. It seems BofA's hoopla of making short sales faster is by requiring all documentation before they will bother to look at the authorization and by making dealing with them so hideous that whatever is left has to be faster. BofA sure knows how to make things overly complicated and frustrating. Faster? Yeah, don't even think of trying a short sale w/them and it will be real fast. <sigh>..
