Just got 2 emails from a manager with BofA yesterday.  First one was a respond to my email letting them know that the Foreclosure date (9/27/10) was fast approching.  Her first email said that they were working hard to get this approved and then they were going to request that the foreclosure would be stopped.

Then 2 hours later I receive another email from her stating that because the file has been open for more than 12 months this loan isn't available for postponement and therefore will be foreclosed on next week.

Anyone have a good number for Fannie Mae manager? Any ideas are welcome here.

Thanks

Oskar, is this purchase money? Is it under review for HAFA?
Kyle...........Yes it is Purchase Money.........not under review for HAFA. Thanks
did they qualify for HAFA? according to HAFA guidelines they can't auction the property if in review for HAFA and all Fannie and Freddie must be put in HAFA as of 8/1.

If it is not HAFA and Fannie has postponed many times already they may not help. unfortunately I don't have any numbers for Fannie Mae. Not sure of the details of your transaction but you may also want to try the treasury department.
Fannie is 800-732-6643 - I think you are...uh...screwed. Fannie and Freddie have been cracking down on postponements. I lost a great deal for Fannie because of it. I gave you the main number - they seem to have added the need for authorizations which I did not need before?? With autho's being rejected if you don't have the seller's name printed, too, or if you include (that's right, not skip but include) the SSN, etc. I sent in 2 with 1 rejected and the other not. Both laid out the same - haven't bothered to call in yet to see why - 'cause I have had no luck with them in the past and don't really expect it is worth my time to call them again.

You are on the right track - only Fannie Mae can postpone that sheriff sale, unless you can slip something to the attorney doing the sale to have it postponed... ;-)

Your negotiator wasn't aware of the change that Fannie Mae just did for postponements. I was surprised when they didn't automatically postpone that one when everything was set except the buyer needed an FHA loan and that would take another 25 days. (That sale was for $204K. BofA got the house right back and REO'd it at $234K, 2 wks later, $199K - I don't think they have anyone looking at it yet. Yep, they screwed themselves (and us) on that one - all expect BofA who still has the account... I'm still watch to see where it finally goes.)

If I call Fannie, I can already hear the bozo say "nothing we can do", etc. But, at least 1 person on this forum says she has good luck with them.
