Dealing with a file through Equator. Back story--a town is buying the property. The file was declined a few months ago for not providing updated proof of funds within a 3 hour timeframe (this was on a Friday and the Town is not open on Fridays).

I resubmitted the file to everyone's dismay and the file was supposed to have been submitted for investor approval last week. I asked for an update and the negotiator came back telling me she needs something explaining who the town administrator is and to fix a signature on the documents. This was yesterday afternoon, and I was trying to explain to her and also ask for more information.

Today we sent messages back and forth and she said she will decline the file if we don't get this fixed. I said I am working on getting all of the necessary documents, and please do not decline it out, and also asked for some more direction on where she would like the signatures.....12 MINUTES later she declines the file. A hard decline too. Reason? "Did not submit documents within 14 days"

?!?!?! I am trying to speak to a supervisor but they are telling me that we will have to go through the steps AGAIN. I am so flabbergasted.

Any advice?

A hard decline cannot get re-opened. Equator is set up for that reason. The only way to fix the issue is submit everything in equator all at once since now you know what held it up in the first place. Then take that file and push it to the escalation department by calling customer service and not backing down until you get it where you want it.

They need to verify that the person signing the documents has the authority to make a purchase for the town.

Now you have to make phone calls to get the file reopened.
