Shoshanna, I wish I had better news for you, and I'm sure some of the agents on here will respond. More than likely they have asked the seller to sign a promissory note and now they have to try to negotiate those terms. Did you receive an approval letter from Bank of America with a close by date? I wouldn't give my notice to the landlord until you have a closing date scheduled and confirmed by the closing attorneys.
We received an approval letter in April to close by June 7th. Our sellers let the date come and go without any communication to us. Our closing attorney was never able to get the information they needed from the sellers to complete the closing. We finally walked away after waiting nearly a year for the house.
