Metlife took a home to sale after an approval had been issued

Really really long story short.  I was helping a friend with a loan modification through First Horizon.  It was a rental property in VA and after about 8 months of back and forth, it was denied.  The seller decided to short sell the property.  By now, he was extremely delinquent and had a sale date on the property of TODAY.  We submitted a short sale package, the renter of 5 years was the buyer and after 4 months of nothing, we had an approval and the sale date was put on hold.  We had to wait for approval from BofA (2nd lien) and by the time we got that, we needed an extension on the now Metlife approval, the negotiator said she would not issue the approval again until we had the title changed from the sellers LLC to his name.  OK, apparently, she missed this the first time so...  The seller changed everything and we sent the deed to our negotiator for approval.  It took about 2 weeks to complete and she acknowledged she received it and also said she was going to work on getting the sale date stopped as they do not postpone in VA. ? Starting last Friday, she started asking for everything under the sun and we provided it.  (an arduous task as you can only send one small attachment via email to Metlife) Yesterday, she emailed me for a revised HUD minus the LLC that I supplied within 5 minutes.  I received a thank you email from her and she was going to her team lead to get the sale stopped and issue approval.  (Keep in mind, same buyer, same offer as last approval, NOTHING CHANGED) This morning I come into my office to discover an email that says:

I discussed the file with my Lead. Management had decided not to postpone or cancel the
foreclosure sale.

Thanks

THATS IT. HOME WENT TO SALE TODAY AT 3PM EASTERN.  There is nothing to be done now.  She didnt respond to my scathing email and I dont blame her.  She will not answer her phone and I am beside myself over this.  Today, I questioned if there are any good people out there.  I questioned whether or not I should be doing what I do.  Im so frustrated and disillusioned with everything going on.  I needed to vent, need to know Im not alone in my extreme frustration and also, I would like to know why  and how these banks can treat people the way they do.  Thanks for listening.  ~Kelly

my question, so what are you going to do about it....let it go, OR GO KICK SOME ______!!!!!!

Try these:

1 - Office of the COmptroller of the Currency (they handle complaints about Servicers)
800-613-6743.
(They are over the FTC and actually regulate banking BS like you are going through).
E-mail for OCC -- [email protected]
To file a complaint with them - www.helpwithmybank.gov, start here, online customer complaint form,
By e-mail (use this for ANY correspondence with the lender via “cc”) [email protected]

2 - The Office Of Thrift Supervison:
http://www.ots.treas.gov/

Consumer Inquiries and Complaints
■E-mail: [email protected]
■Phone: 1 (800) 842-6929

I would also contact local media as well as your state attorney general.......

If you "just let it go"...they will surely do this to others!!!!

At a MINIMUM, be CERTAIN your friend gets PAID TO MVOE OUT via cash for keys!!!!

keep us posted......
Ben, THANK YOU FOR ALL OF THE INFORMATION!!! Its just pathetic how these banks treat people. If the seller had a sense of entitlement, not too much love lost BUT this is crazy. Ill post to let you know what happens.
