Bank Of America Equator System
Hello All,
I am a buyer currently dealing with a short sale. The sellers lender is through BOA. The LA submitted everything over the Equator system. They already have come back asking for our information as the buyer. Does this mean someone has been assigned to the case yet?

No, when they ask for buyers info such as DOB, SSN, address, etc its just in the beginning stages. It means the file was recently initiated. The task to upload the offer and enter buyers information is the 2nd task that the listing agent has to do. The first one being to upload the authorization to release information. Depending on the investor on the loan they will assign someone to the file either when the BPO is back or after they have ordered the BPO. You are probably 2 weeks out before you get a negotiator.

Also, you dont need to give them all of that information in order to submit. I generally put 111-11-1111 for SSN and 123 unknow way for address and the system still allows me to proceed.
